Lets be honest, we all associate the tweed skirt for that conservative look! Most people will have that tweed skirt that they keep in the closet for the church service or a tea party, it’s one of those classics that is  necessary, no doubt! However, you cannot always keep it at the back of the closet, your girl is here to help you switch things up. I tried out this tweed skirt of mine for a chic and more urban look in the streets. So yes, lets get into it!

We took the tweed skirt to town!

I got this skirt some time ago and I thought I had made a good closet investment for when I want to look expensive and polished. So accurate, wore it for a few formal events but I thought it was time to put the blouse and the court shoes/pumps aside.

This black and gold number looked good with a grey turtle neck and my black and gold lace ups. This was a switch up from the usual blouse look, I made the choice to wear the turtleneck because as we all know the weather in Port Elizabeth is bipolar! Rolls eyes🙄🙄! The color grey was the only other option because black would have been too much effort and too serious.

This is a look that would be great for the day or the night, depending on what you like. After shooting this look, we went out and it looked great!

So first and foremost, my motto is “wear what you want how you want!” Maybe the turtle neck is not your thing, well then do a printed tshirt and sneakers, that can work too!

Try even wear it with a crop top if you fancy that! And for the denim lovers…work that denim shirt.

Always remember that the shoes always transform a look into anything you want it to be hey.

I personally went for the lace ups because they have more edge to them than the usual pumps.
