We are officially 9 days into the month of May and it is bittersweet because it just means time is flying and we are almost halfway through the year. For those with a long list of goals for the year, it’s that time you start taking stock. Have you followed through with your goals and plans, are you slaying or slacking? One of my goals for the year was to dress up more (I know it’s weird coming from a blogger) and to step out of my comfort zone every now and then. I also decided to be that girl that carries her camera every time she goes out during the day.
This past weekend I went for brunch with a good friend turned a cousin of mine. It was lovely catching up and all that, but I always look forward to the time when we take stock of our lives and career paths. I was so encouraged by his journey and he motivated me to continue chartering new paths, to grow further and keep the faith I have. It’s not often when you have brunch and leave feeling challenged, this brunch and all the other ones we have had in the past have left me feeling that way. I am so grateful for people like that.
Towards the end of the meeting, I took my camera out of my bag and I asked for a few photos. I enjoyed taking these photos and so I decided to share them on the blog. I wore my flared denim jeans with a floral top and metallic slingbacks.
Sometime last year,I sold this shirt because I wanted to declutter my closet. Well, I hunted down the girl that bought it and asked her to sell it back to me because I was having sleepless nights about it! LOL (True Story)
She found it very funny that I was begging her to buy the shirt, I am probably the weirdest young woman she knows.
I had fun in this outfit though, got the courage to wear my metallic sling backs and my florals. All in all, it was a great weekend!
So Much Love…..
