How to Recreate Looks!

As much as I love wearing less, the honest truth is that winter dressing up and layering is just a vibe!

I have had a fascination for the puffer/windbreaker jackets, the bold colored ones to be specific. Haven’t had a chance to get the yellow one that I would like but for now, I am just making use of the green one that I have had for a while.

Last week whilst scrolling on my Instagram feed, I saw one of my fave Instagram influencers rocking their long puffer and it was just so eye-catching!

Whenever I see outfits I love, I immediately think of  recreating them with my wardrobe pieces and own style.

For this particular outfit, I decided to go for heels rather than boots, my signature hoops, and all black just for control.

How to recreate an outfit.

It’s always cool to test your fashion sense by recreating looks. Most people think it is impossible to create looks by their most loved celebrities simply because they do not have the exact same items. This is actually not true, anyone can recreate a look, below are a few tips.

  • Choose an outfit to recreate with items that are somewhat similar. For example, Lerato’s Jacket was long, I chose to wear mine that is almost the same length.
  • It doesn’t have to be the exact same color. Notice hers was a blue and white combo and I did a green and black combo.
  • Make sure you add something to the outfit that makes it YOURS! Personally, the hoops and small purse kind of personalized the look.

So don’t be shy, go try out looks by your faves!

Before I forget, for those of you that would like to get puffer jackets, MRP and a whole lot of other stores have them in stock. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous then head to a thrift store!
